The Board of the Mid Atlantic CICS Users Group is happy to announce that our Spring meeting will be held at the Columbia, MD. Sheraton Inn on Thursday May 8, 2003. The outstanding agenda features one of IBM's top CICS specialists and speakers, Mardi Gibbs from Raleigh, who will discuss migration strategies and how to utilize the MVS Logger. Tom Ross from IBM's Silicon Valley Lab will present IBM's latest COBOL compiler which among many other new features allows you to eliminate the precompiler step for CICS programs. You should encourage your CICS application development folks to also attend. Whether your ready or not, Z/OS is coming to your shop shortly. Ben Astley an independent consultant will briefly cover "What every CICS Professional should know about Z/OS".

You should be able to enroll and review location and agenda details beginning next week when our Web Site http://www.cicsug.org/ is updated. Don't forget that you pay a reduced fee if you enroll and mail your check early. I look forward to seeing you there. John Cress

Cost and times of meeting:

$60.00 for pre registration, and $60.00 at the door for walk-ins. Note that this rate may change by the time the location, topics, and speakers are finalized. Coffee is served with a continental breakfast starting at 8 A.M.

The meeting starts at 9 A.M.

The lunch break will be from 11:45 to 1 P.M.

The afternoon sessions end at 4 P.M.
