The Mid-Atlantic CICS User Group

Statement of Purpose

The Mid-Atlantic CICS User Group is a not-for-profitorganization that provides technical training to the CICS community. The CICS architecture has evolved to encompass the Enterprise System, the Internet, and PC based systems and applications. Topics for this session should be of interest to CICS Systems programmers, Applications programmers, Security specialists, and Internet technicians. We hold meetings twice a year to promote the education of our members.

The Fall 2004 Meeting

The Fall 2004 Meeting of the Mid-Atlantic CICS User Group is scheduled for Thursday, October 21, 2004, at the Westpark Hotel in Tysons Corner, VA.

The Fall 2004 meeting will feature Leigh Compton, Consulting IT Specialist in the IBM Dallas Systems Center. Leigh is a frequent presenter at the CICS Technical Conference, SHARE and CICS user groups around the US.

Sessions for the Fall 2004 meeting will consist of the following topics:

"CICS Interoperability - the Strategic Options" Presentation Outline

"Getting the most out of your VSAM data" Presentation Outline

"CICS - Trends and Directions"
